ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) strengthened its outreach on Tuesday at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional leaders, government officials, and youth representatives gathered to deliberate on youth empowerment, values, and leadership.
The summit featured the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, alongside representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Deliberations centered on policies to strengthen the role of young people in nation-building, innovation for sustainable development, and frameworks for addressing unresolved issues through the NCC. A panel discussion addressed policy, innovation, and rehabilitation strategies aimed at sustainable youth development.
UPAM described its participation as a strategic engagement ahead of its official launch, emphasizing that building partnerships through such platforms ensures stronger support for its upcoming programs and movements.
Africa Arise Summit Engagement
UPAM leaders also attended the Africa Arise Summit 2025, convened by Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead manager of the ARISE initiative. The gathering honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes for their contributions and showcased youth talent from The Lioners Academy.
The United Pan-Africanist Movement delegation held discussions on partnership opportunities, reinforcing shared values of service, leadership, and empowerment. “The gatherings strengthened our vision of Pan-African unity rooted in service and community advancement,” said Comr. Williams John, UPAM General Secretary.
The events marked a significant milestone as UPAM continues to forge alliances, mobilize youth, and expand its influence across Africa in preparation for its upcoming launch.
