SimpliSafe is introducing a groundbreaking approach to home security with its latest innovation, AI Live Guard. Unlike traditional systems that react only after an intrusion, this proactive solution aims to deter potential threats before they escalate.
The core concept revolves around employing artificial intelligence to monitor the perimeter of your residence. By utilizing advanced algorithms, the system can identify unfamiliar individuals approaching your home. Upon detection, an alert is triggered to a live operator who can assess the situation through your home cameras and engage in real-time communication using two-way speakers.
This proactive stance marks a significant departure from the reactive nature of conventional security measures. SimpliSafe’s CEO, Christian Cerda, emphasizes the shift towards providing customers with preemptive safety measures, rather than merely responding to incidents after they occur.
To minimize false alarms, SimpliSafe streamlines the process of creating profiles for trusted individuals within their security app. Once a person is profiled, the AI can accurately recognize them, enhancing the system’s efficacy. Moreover, users can easily update or remove profiles as circumstances change.
While the AI Live Guard is currently in a limited pilot phase for early access participants, SimpliSafe plans to roll out wider availability later in the year. Although pricing details have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated to be offered as an additional feature to existing subscription services.
