Samsung testing One UI 8 on Galaxy S24 FE has officially begun, marking the next step in software upgrades for the brand’s Fan Edition device. Based on Android 16, the new interface is currently under internal evaluation.
The firmware version—S721BXXU6CYG1—has not been released publicly. Samsung might skip the beta phase again, just as it did with the previous One UI 7 rollout for this model. That could mean a direct stable release later this year.
Samsung has started testing Android 16-powered One UI 8 on the Galaxy S24 FE. The build appears under firmware version S721BXXU6CYG1. While not yet available to users, the software is being evaluated internally.
Earlier this year, the Galaxy S24 FE received the stable One UI 7 without a beta phase. If Samsung follows a similar path, One UI 8 could also skip public testing. This method suggests the company is confident in the S24 FE’s stability and performance.
A stable release may arrive by the end of 2025. Samsung has not confirmed an exact date. However, early testing indicates that development is progressing steadily. No new features have been officially detailed yet.
