The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery capacity has been officially confirmed through a certification filing with China’s Quality Certification Center, showing no change from its predecessor.
The document lists a rated capacity of 4,855 mAh, translating to an advertised 5,000 mAh typical capacity—identical to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This confirmation ends speculation that Samsung might increase the battery size to 5,500 mAh for its next flagship.
The news comes as rival Chinese smartphone makers prepare to launch devices boasting 7,000 mAh batteries powered by advanced Si/C battery technology. Samsung has so far avoided adopting that chemistry, sticking instead to established battery designs.
While capacity remains unchanged, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could still deliver improvements in the charging department. Rumors suggest Samsung may push charging speeds up to 65W, a notable jump from the current 45W maximum. If true, this would mark Samsung’s first foray into faster charging tiers, bringing it closer to rivals that already offer 100W or more.
Beyond the battery, recent leaks also highlight a larger camera island for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, signaling Samsung’s continued emphasis on photography as a key selling point.
With the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra expected to launch in early 2026, the confirmation of its battery capacity sets expectations for users hoping for bigger endurance gains. Instead, buyers may need to look forward to faster charging speeds and camera upgrades as the main differentiators.
