Saiwa Swamp National Park, one of the 22 national parks managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), is located near Kitale in Trans-Nzoia County. Covering an area of 3 km², it is Kenya’s smallest national park. This park is home to rare species like the Sitatunga antelope and De Brazza’s monkey, and is a haven for birdwatchers with over 370 bird species recorded. It’s an excellent spot for camping and picnicking for nature enthusiasts.
