Nissan Ariya 63kWh Review: Specs, Range & Charging

The Nissan Ariya 63kWh is Nissan’s mid-range electric SUV, designed for urban and suburban driving with efficient performance. Available since July 2022, the model offers a usable battery capacity of 63.0 kWh, delivering a real-world range of 335 km under mild weather conditions. Its energy efficiency averages 188 Wh/km, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and moderate road trips.

In terms of pricing, the Nissan Ariya 63kWh starts at £39,645 in the United Kingdom, €41,990 in the Netherlands, and €47,490 in Germany. Availability varies by country, with the UK model available from August 2022, the Netherlands since July 2022, and Germany from September 2022. Prices are manufacturer recommended and do not include local incentives.

The electric range varies with conditions: in cold weather, the Ariya achieves 285 km combined, while in mild weather it can reach up to 380 km combined. City driving in mild temperatures can extend the range to 495 km, whereas highway driving lowers it to 300 km. The vehicle’s long-distance suitability is rated 2 out of 5 stars, with an effective first-leg distance of 237 km before a 15-minute fast charge.

Real-world energy consumption ranges from 127–268 Wh/km, depending on weather, driving style, and road conditions. Combined mild-weather efficiency is 166 Wh/km, equating to a vehicle fuel equivalent of 2.1 L/100 km. With zero tailpipe emissions, the Ariya 63kWh represents a sustainable alternative to conventional SUVs.

With advanced EV features, practical range, and fast charging capabilities, the Nissan Ariya 63kWh is a versatile electric SUV for urban and moderate long-distance travel. Its combination of efficiency, safety, and performance makes it a strong contender in the growing electric SUV market.
