The new STELATO S9 launch brings a significant update to one of Huawei’s most advanced luxury sedans, marking a strong step forward in styling, performance, and intelligent driving. At the official event, the brand introduced four new variants across pure electric and range-extender configurations, signaling a broader strategy that blends high-end comfort with leading EV technology. This launch also came with a surprise teaser, as Huawei’s Richard Yu confirmed that the HIMA flagship MPV is on the way.
The pure electric STELATO S9 adopts Huawei’s 800V Giant Whale Battery Platform paired with a 100 kWh battery pack. The two-wheel-drive version delivers an impressive 816 km CLTC range, while the all-wheel-drive model offers 721 km. Charging speed remains a major highlight with the ability to move from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. For buyers seeking long-distance flexibility, the range-extender variants offer 37 kWh and 53.4 kWh battery options. The larger pack provides a remarkable 1,378 km combined range when using the 1.5T extender alongside the battery.

Pricing places the new STELATO S9 firmly within the upper mid-luxury class. The range-extender MAX costs 309,800 yuan, the Ultra variant sits at 349,800 yuan, the pure electric MAX is priced at 329,800 yuan, and the pure electric Ultra reaches 369,800 yuan. These trims cover a broad user range while maintaining strong value across performance and interior capability.
The model retains its established dimensions at 5160/2005/1492 mm with a 3050 mm wheelbase, but exterior details receive clear refinement. New Mystic Green and Streamer Silver colors expand personalization, while a redesigned hexagonal hood emblem adds character. The rear design also receives a more layered look thanks to smoother tail lights and a new chrome accent strip. Updated projection headlights support new welcome animations, and optional electronic side mirrors enhance the premium feel.
Inside, the cabin continues to prioritize luxury. The new STELATO S9 features extensive Nappa leather, real wood trim, and suede headlining. A redesigned flat-bottom steering wheel improves ergonomics. The central display grows from 15.6 inches to 16.1 inches, while a new 12.3-inch passenger entertainment screen aligns the experience with the high-end S9T. Rear passengers benefit from a zero-gravity seating option, a 32-inch projection screen, MagLink Mini interfaces, a 25-speaker audio system, and a cooled and heated storage compartment.
On the technology front, the sedan adopts Huawei’s latest QIANKUN Intelligent Driving ADS 4 system with one 192-line lidar and three additional solid-state lidars. In total, 36 sensors enable advanced perception and safer autonomous functions. The chassis receives a substantial enhancement through the Huawei TURING Platform, offering standard five-level adjustable air suspension and continuously variable damping for smoother, more controlled rides across multiple conditions.
The excitement surrounding the new STELATO S9 launch peaked when Richard Yu confirmed that a new HIMA flagship MPV is coming soon. The teaser suggests the MPV will target the top of the luxury family segment, promising capabilities that the brand believes will surpass every MPV currently available. LUXEED later released its own poster, confirming that the first HIMA MPV will debut under its badge.
