  • Foundation: NCBA Bank Uganda was established in 2012 under the name NC Bank Uganda and obtained its commercial banking license from the Bank of Uganda in April 2012.
  • Merger: In September 2019, NC Bank Uganda merged with Commercial Bank of Africa (Uganda) to form NCBA Bank Uganda. This merger was part of a broader consolidation strategy within the NCBA Group, enhancing operational efficiencies and expanding market presence in Uganda.

Financial Performance

  • Assets: As of 31 December 2023, NCBA Bank Uganda reported total assets valued at UGX 854 billion (approximately US$227.324 million). This reflects the bank’s robust financial position and growth trajectory in the Ugandan banking sector.

Management

  • Leadership: Anthony Ndegwa served as the managing director initially, following the merger. Later, Mark Muyobo took over as the acting managing director and CEO from December 2020 onwards.

Branch Network

  • Locations: The bank operates several branches across key locations in Uganda, including:
    • Nakasero Branch: Rwenzori House, Nakasero Road, Kampala
    • Bugoloobi Branch: 2nd Floor, Village Mall, Bugoloobi, Kampala
    • Forest Mall Branch: Forest Mall, Lugogo, Kampala
    • Kafu Road Branch: Twed Towers, 10 Kafu Road, Nakasero, Kampala
    • Namanve Branch: Namanve Industrial Business Park
