A serious accident occurred on Saturday morning when a Mahehe Friends Academy school van overturned in Endarasha, Kieni West, Nyeri County, injuring several pupils. The vehicle was transporting learners to school when it lost control and rolled into a ditch.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the van lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to veer off Charity Road and overturn. The accident left many of the students with serious injuries.
Rescue Teams Rush to the Scene
Following the crash, more than six ambulances, along with rescue teams and local residents, swiftly arrived at the scene. The teams worked tirelessly to assist the injured pupils. Several were quickly transported to Endarasha Health Centre for treatment.
The Kenya Red Cross confirmed the incident, stating that the school van had veered off the road and overturned, resulting in the injuries of multiple learners.
