Infinix’s New Phone Leaked with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Processor

Infinix, a brand historically known for utilizing MediaTek processors in its devices, may be breaking tradition with its upcoming smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The device, identified by model number X6878, has made its way to Geekbench, revealing important details about its internal configuration and performance.

  • Infinix X6878 Specifications and Features
  • A Shift in Infinix’s Strategy

Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Performance Benchmarks

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is a recent addition to Qualcomm’s mid-range chipset lineup, launched in August 2025. The X6878’s Geekbench listing exposes its octa-core processor, featuring:

  • 1 prime core running at 2.71GHz
  • 3 performance cores at 2.40GHz
  • 4 efficiency cores at 1.80GHz

The graphics duties will be handled by the Adreno 810 GPU. While the Geekbench listing does not directly name the processor, the core configuration and GPU pairing align with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which Qualcomm announced earlier this year.

The performance benchmarks show that the X6878 scores 1,232 points in single-core tests and between 2,882 and 3,325 points in multi-core tests, depending on the version of Geekbench used. These scores confirm that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is designed as a mid-range chip with performance on par with similar processors in its category.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4’s Rarity

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor is still rare in the smartphone market. To date, the only other device confirmed to use this processor is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ (Chinese version), which was launched in August 2025. This makes the upcoming Infinix phone only the second device globally to adopt this specific chip.

Infinix X6878 Specifications and Features

In addition to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, the Infinix X6878 will come with 8GB of RAM and run on Android 16 straight out of the box. This is particularly noteworthy because Android 16’s release is expected later in 2025, indicating that this phone may not arrive until December 2025 or later.

However, much about the phone remains unknown. The marketing name of the phone has not been confirmed yet, but speculation suggests that it could be released as the Infinix Zero 50 or the Infinix Note Edge. Additionally, there is no information yet regarding the screen size, camera specifications, battery capacity, or pricing.

While the target markets for the device remain unclear, its appearance in European certification documents suggests that Infinix plans to make this phone available internationally, beyond just China.

A Shift in Infinix’s Strategy

This move represents a notable shift for Infinix, a brand that has traditionally relied on MediaTek chips in its smartphones. The adoption of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor could signal a new direction for the company as it seeks to expand its reach in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.

For now, Infinix fans and tech enthusiasts will have to wait for more details about this device. We will update this article as soon as more information about the X6878 surfaces.
