This guide provides simple instructions on how to stop the annoying beeping sound that occurs when your Kenya Power prepaid meter’s tokens are running low. The prepaid meters come in various brands such as Conlog Intech, Inhemeter, Hexing, Actaris, Itron, and Nirav Star instrument. The muting codes and methods outlined below may work on different brands, so you can try them until the beeping stops.
1. Conlog Intech Prepaid Meter
This is one of the most commonly used meters in Kenyan households. To stop the beeping, press the delete or backspace button on the meter for 3 seconds. Alternatively, you can long-press the # button to mute the sound.
2. Hexing Prepaid Meter
To stop the beeping on a Hexing meter, press 812, followed by the # button.
3. Actaris Prepaid Meter
To mute the beeping on your Actaris meter, simply long-press the enter button.
4. Nirav Star Instrument Prepaid Meter
For the Nirav meter, press 1037 and then press the enter button three times.
5. Inhemeter Prepaid Meter
To stop the beeping on your Inhemeter, press 016 or 017, then press the enter button.
Note: The # button on your meter serves the same function as the enter button.
