How to Request License for a Digital Broadcasting Channel (DAB) in Qatar. This service allows Qatari individuals and companies to submit a request to obtain a digital broadcasting channel (DAB) license, via the E-Services portal of the Ministry of Culture (MOC). Â
License duration: 3 years
Online Instructions
- Click on “Broadcasting Services” under E-Services portal available on MOC website.
- Click on “License Request to Operate Digital Broadcasting Channel (DAB)” from the list of services.
- Login by using your personal account on the National Authentication System (NAS, Tawtheeq).
- Attach the following documents:
- Letter in the name of the Department Director
- Study of the channel
- QID copy of at least one partner (in case there are partners)
- QID copy of the license holder and channel manager (optional)
- Commercial registration (optional)
- Copy of the membership of Qatar Chamber (optional)
- Certificate of proof of authorization to sign, in case of entering as a representative or authorized to sign (optional)
- Other additional attachments (if required)
- Acknowledgment and undertaking (in the case there is an initial approval of the application)
- Copy of the initial approval with the approval of other authorities (in case there is an initial approval of the application)
- Submit the application.

- License Issuance: QR100,000
- License Renewal: QR60,000
- Edit License Data: No fees needed
- Cancel License: No fees needed

- The terms of applying for this service include the following:
- Submission is available for individuals provided that they must be Qataris.
- Submission is available for companies or through an authorized signatory.
- A channel manager must be a Qatari citizen.
