How to Apply for Licence for Retail of LPG in Cylinders
- Visit the EPRA Portal: Go to EPRA’s online portal.
- Create or Log In to Your Account: Register if you don’t already have an account or log in if you have one.
- Access Licence Management: Click on “Licence Management” in the menu.
- Select New Licence Application: Choose the option for a new licence application.
- Choose Licence Category: Select the “Retail of LPG in Cylinders” category.
- Agree to Licence Conditions: Read, accept the conditions, and proceed with registration.
- Complete Application Details: Enter all required information in each step and click “Save” as you go.
- Attach Required Documents: Upload the necessary documents based on the licence category.
- Submit the Application: Finalize and submit the application for processing.
Requirements for Licence for Retail of LPG in Cylinders
- Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate.
- CR12 from the Registrar of Companies (not older than one year) to confirm company ownership details. If a limited company is among the shareholders, provide their CR12 and all directors’ IDs.
- Copies of IDs/Passports for all directors.
- Valid Work Permits (Class 6) for all foreign directors working in Kenya, or a notarized declaration for those residing outside Kenya.
- Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Single Business Permit from the respective county government for the premises.
- Proof of Ownership of at Least 5,000 LPG Cylinders of various sizes (0.5, 1, 3, 6, or 13 kg) or an authorization letter from a licensed LPG cylinder brand owner.
- Fire Clearance Certificate from the respective county government.
- Certificate of Weighing Scale Calibration from the Department of Weights and Measures.
