Visa-Exempt Countries

Citizens of several countries can enter Georgia visa-free for up to one year, unless otherwise specified. Visa-exempt nationalities include:

  • Europe: EU Member States, Norway, Switzerland, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein.
  • Americas: USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay (90 days).
  • Asia-Pacific: Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore.
  • Middle East & Others: Turkey, Saudi Arabia (ID allowed), UAE, Qatar, Russia, Israel.

Other Exemptions

  1. Holders of EU, EFTA, GCC, or certain third-country visas/residence permits (e.g., USA, Canada, Australia) can stay for up to 90 days in 180 days.
  2. Georgian diaspora members with valid foreign passports can stay for up to 30 days visa-free.
  3. Holders of UN laissez-passer (up to one year).

Types of Georgia Visas

1. Diplomatic Visa (Category A)

  • Issued to foreign diplomats and their family members for official purposes.

2. Special Visa (Category B)

  • For consular workers, international organization staff, and members of foreign delegations.

3. Ordinary Visa (Category C)

For short-term visits, including:

  • Tourist Visa (C1): For tourism.

How to Apply for a Georgia Visa

Step 1: Determine Application Method

  • eVisa: Eligible for short-term stays (30 or 90 days).
  • Embassy Application: For long-term stays or if eVisa is unavailable.

Step 2: Submit Online Application

  • Complete the electronic application through the E-Application System.
  • Upload a passport photo that meets specific dimensions (5mm x 4mm, 300 DPI).

Step 3: Collect Required Documents

You must prepare these standard documents:

Georgia eVisa

The Georgia eVisa is a convenient option for eligible nationals, valid for tourism or short-term visits.

Eligibility

  • Countries eligible for eVisa (up to 90 days): Bolivia, Cuba, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and others.
  • Countries eligible for 30-day eVisa: China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Zambia, and more.

Application Process

  1. Complete the online form on the eVisa Portal.
  2. Attach scanned documents:
    • Passport
    • Accommodation proof
    • Travel and health insurance
    • Proof of sufficient funds.
  3. Pay the $20 fee using a debit or credit card.
  4. Processing time: 5 calendar days.
  5. Print the approved eVisa and carry it along with physical copies of the required documents.

Georgia Visa Requirements
