SlimPort is a display connectivity standard that allows mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to output high-definition video and audio to external displays like TVs, monitors, or projectors using a micro-USB or USB-C port. It supports resolutions up to 4K and works with HDMI, VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort through adapters. Unlike some alternatives, SlimPort does not require external power for adapters, making it energy-efficient and convenient. It was commonly used in certain Android devices to deliver a desktop-like experience or mirror content on larger screens, though it has been largely replaced by technologies like USB-C Alt Mode and wireless casting.
