The release took place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at AIC Chebisaas High School in Eldoret, and was attended by senior education officials, including Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba.

How to Check 2025 KCSE Results Online

To access your results online, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the KNEC Website: Go to the official KNEC website and navigate to the KCSE Results section by clicking on results.knec.ac.ke.
  2. Enter Your Index Number: Input your 11-digit index number exactly as it appears on your KCSE exam registration form.
  3. Enter Your Registered Name: Type your name as it was used during registration for the exams.
  4. Submit Your Details: Click the Submit button to view your results. You can also download a copy of the results for your records by clicking the download button.

How to Check 2025 KCSE Results Using SMS

For those who prefer to check their results via SMS, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Send Your Index Number: Text your KCSE index number to 20076.
  2. Cost: The service costs Ksh 25 per SMS.

KCSE 2025 Grading System

The 2025 KCSE results are graded on a scale from A (highest) to E (lowest). There are also special grades assigned under certain circumstances:
