Cameco Farm Tractors were specialized machines designed for heavy-duty agricultural and construction work, particularly in sugarcane fields. Based in Louisiana, Cameco Industries began producing powerful tractors tailored for challenging field conditions and large-scale operations.
Founded with a focus on cane harvesting and field preparation, Cameco built a solid reputation in the agricultural sector for its rugged, high-horsepower tractors. These machines were commonly seen with distinctive yellow paint and wide frames optimized for wet, muddy environments.
In 1998, Deere & Company acquired Cameco, gradually integrating its product line into the John Deere family. By 2006, the Cameco brand was phased out, and its machines were fully rebranded as green John Deere equipment. However, Cameco’s engineering legacy lives on in Deere’s current sugarcane machinery.
