Algonova (2008) is a Canadian-flagged double-hulled oil and chemical products tanker operated by Algoma Central. Built in Turkey by Ereğli Shipyard and delivered in September 2008, the vessel replaced the earlier Algonova (1969), which was retired following international regulations requiring double-hulled tankers in North American waters. The new Algonova continues to serve on the Great Lakes, the Saint Lawrence Seaway, and along the eastern Canadian seaboard, transporting petroleum products and chemicals.
