Dan Bongino Net Worth

Dan Bongino, a polarizing conservative commentator, former Secret Service agent, and media personality, has amassed a net worth of $150 million through his multifaceted career in law enforcement, media, and strategic investments. Known for his provocative rhetoric and far-right political views, Bongino has leveraged his platform to become one of the most influential—and controversial—voices in conservative media.

Early Life and Education

Born on December 4, 1974, in Queens, New York City, Dan Bongino grew up in a working-class family of half-Italian heritage. He attended Archbishop Molloy High School before earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Queens College. Later, he pursued an MBA at Pennsylvania State University, laying the groundwork for his future ventures in business and media.

Government Career: From NYPD to Secret Service

Bongino’s career began in 1995 as a New York City Police Department officer. By 1999, he transitioned to the U.S. Secret Service, working in the New York Field Office and later as an instructor at the Secret Service Training Academy. In 2006, he joined the elite Presidential Protective Division, guarding high-profile figures, including President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, until his resignation in 2011.

Media Empire and Controversies

After leaving government service, Bongino pivoted to media, becoming a firebrand conservative commentator. His nationally syndicated radio show, The Dan Bongino Show, and his weekend Fox News program, Unfiltered with Dan Bongino, catapulted him to fame. However, his career has been marred by controversies:

  • Spygate Conspiracy: Bongino promoted the debunked claim that the Obama administration spied on Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, which the FBI and Justice Department thoroughly discredited.
  • Election Misinformation: He propagated the “Big Lie” about the 2020 election, earning a spot on The New York Times’ list of top “misinformation superspreaders.”
  • Social Media Suspensions: Twitter temporarily banned him in 2021 for violating policies on election integrity.

Despite backlash, Bongino’s media ventures thrived. In 2021, he inked a deal with Cumulus Media to replace Rush Limbaugh’s time slot and expanded his reach through partnerships with Rumble, a conservative-aligned video platform.

Rumble Stock: The $130 Million Windfall

A significant portion of Bongino’s wealth stems from his stake in Rumble, a video-streaming platform popular among conservatives. As one of its largest individual shareholders, he owns 14.4% of the company (16 million shares), valued at approximately $130 million as of 2024. This investment underscores his financial acumen and alignment with alternative media ecosystems.

Political Campaigns and Failures

Bongino’s political ambitions repeatedly fell short:

  • 2012: Lost a U.S. Senate race in Maryland to Democrat Ben Cardin.
  • 2014: Failed to unseat Rep. John Delaney in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
  • 2016: Suffered a primary loss in Florida’s 19th District after an expletive-laden outburst against a reporter went viral.

Despite these defeats, he remained a vocal Trump ally. In February 2025, Trump appointed him deputy director of the FBI, a controversial move given Bongino’s lack of traditional law enforcement leadership experience.

Personal Life and Health Struggles

Bongino married Paula Andrea, a Colombian immigrant, and the couple has two daughters. They previously ran three home-based businesses, including martial arts apparel and web design.

In 2020, Bongino faced a health crisis: a diagnosis of throat cancer, followed by Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After surgery and treatment, he announced he was cancer-free in 2021.

Real Estate Ventures

The Bonginos have capitalized on Florida’s booming housing market. In 2019, they purchased a Swalls Point home for 1.55million∗∗,listingitinlate2024for∗∗1.55million∗∗,listingitinlate2024for∗∗4 million. The property sold within two months, netting a substantial profit.

Net Worth Breakdown

  • Rumble Stock: $130 million (14.4% equity stake)
  • Media Contracts: Estimated $15–20 million from Cumulus, Fox News, and book sales (Life Inside the Bubble, Spygate).
  • Real Estate and Investments: $5 million+ from property sales and private ventures.

Legacy: Provocateur or Patriot?

Dan Bongino’s $150 million net worth reflects his ability to monetize political polarization and tap into conservative media’s lucrative markets. While critics condemn his spread of misinformation, supporters hail him as a defender of free speech and conservative values. As he steps into his FBI role in 2025, his influence—and controversies—are poised to grow.

Love him or loathe him, Bongino’s journey from Secret Service agent to millionaire media mogul epitomizes the intersection of politics, profit, and provocation in modern America.
