The water sector is of utmost importance to Saudi Arabia’s’ economic growth and social development. Given the limited natural water resources, the government is continuing to invest heavily in the sector to meet Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing population, support it’s thriving industrial sector and meet it’s water needs for agriculture irrigation. Saudi Arabia is championing the adoption of new technology and skills across the country’s water ecosystem. At a time of historic regulatory and social change, international involvement is necessary and Public-Private Partnerships account for 70% of its water processing infrastructure.
