The company that began producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Qatar in 1984 was called QatarEnergy LNG, formerly known as Qatargas. It currently produces more LNG globally than anyone else. With its large factories at Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial City, it can produce 77 million tonnes of LNG annually.

Not all that Qatargas produces is LNG.
