President William Ruto has announced plans to establish a multi-sectoral forum in response to ongoing nationwide protests. During a meeting with 96 bishops at State House Nairobi, he emphasized the forum’s role in addressing youth grievances and other economic challenges facing the country. The forum aims to bring together various stakeholders for dialogue and decision-making to find lasting solutions. Ruto also mentioned government initiatives such as job creation programs and economic policies aimed at mitigating the issues that sparked recent protests, which included incidents of vandalism and violence. Religious leaders have called for calm and urged the government to address concerns without excessive force.
