Overview
A designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Mt Elgon National Park is characterized by pristine tropical rainforests, lava tube caves, a caldera, cliffs, glacial tarns, valleys, waterfalls, streams, and springs. It is home to elephants, over 144 species of birds, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, leopards, gazelles, waterbucks, hyenas, duikers, antelopes, wild cats, and bush bucks.
The park is a paradise for nature lovers. It has one of the best hiking trails in Kenya. On top of that, you can enjoy biking, mountain climbing, and guided nature walks.
