Huawei’s highly anticipated Mate 80 series, consisting of the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, and Mate 80 Pro+, has been officially certified for sale in China. This marks an important step toward the official launch of the devices, which have been generating significant buzz due to their expected innovations.

Model Numbers and Charging Capabilities

The Mate 80 has been identified with the model number VYG-AL00, while the Mate 80 Pro carries the model number SGT-AL00, and the Mate 80 Pro+ is labeled SGT-AL50. One of the key features confirmed for the devices is fast charging: the Mate 80 will support 66W wired charging, while the Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro+ will ramp up to 100W charging, ensuring a quick power-up experience for users.

New Kirin SoCs and Camera Improvements

Rumors circulating in China suggest that one of the devices in the Mate 80 series will debut a new range of Kirin SoCs, Huawei’s own chipset, which could bring notable performance upgrades. Additionally, another focus for these devices will be extreme high-quality imaging, likely aimed at competing in the premium camera smartphone segment.

The camera island on all three models will feature a centered and round design, with a dual-tone LED flash positioned on the upper left side of the camera module. This aesthetic design is expected to give the new Mate 80 series a modern and sleek appearance.

Possible Built-in Fan and Water Resistance

An intriguing rumor surrounding the Mate 80 Pro+ suggests that it could come with a built-in fan integrated into the camera island, helping with cooling during extended use or intense gaming. This fan would be placed on the side of the camera island and not within the frame of the phone itself, which could allow for better performance without overheating.

As expected from a premium flagship series, the Mate 80 devices will likely come with strong water resistance, ensuring they can withstand the elements and daily wear and tear.

Availability and Next Steps

The Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, and Mate 80 Pro+ will likely hit the market soon, with the certifications suggesting that a Chinese launch is imminent. The upcoming launch could spark significant interest, especially as Huawei continues to refine its devices and push the boundaries of smartphone performance and camera technology.

Conclusion

With its new Kirin SoCs, fast charging capabilities, advanced cameras, and potentially innovative features like a built-in fan, the Huawei Mate 80 series is shaping up to be a major release in the smartphone world. As the launch approaches, tech enthusiasts and Huawei fans alike are eagerly awaiting to see how these devices measure up to their competitors in the high-end market.
