HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the standard language used to create and structure content on the web. It defines the layout and organization of web pages by using a system of tags and elements to format text, embed images and videos, create links, build forms, and structure headings and paragraphs. HTML works in conjunction with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for styling and JavaScript for interactivity. Every website on the internet uses HTML in some form, making it a foundational technology for web development and digital publishing. The current version is HTML5, which supports multimedia, responsive design, and richer web applications without relying on external plugins.
