The Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) has officially launched the BAKE Awards 2025, marking the start of the submission phase for this year’s edition. The awards, now in their ninth year, continue to celebrate excellence in digital content creation across Kenya.
Originally established as a platform to honor bloggers, the BAKE Awards have evolved into a comprehensive recognition of all online creators, spanning multiple digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, and YouTube.
Submissions and Timeline
The submission period for the BAKE Awards 2025 runs from September 10 to October 8, 2025, during which creators can nominate themselves or others in 23 distinct categories. Notably, new creators — those who began their content journey between January 2024 and December 2024 — may submit entries in both the New Creator category and one additional category that fits their work.
Following submissions, a panel of judges will review entries and select the top five nominees per category by October 30, 2025. Thereafter, public online voting will open on November 3 and close on December 2, 2025. The winners will be announced on December 6, 2025.

Speaking at the launch, a spokesperson for BAKE’s chairperson lauded the growth of Kenya’s digital landscape.
