Acer Super ZX and ZX Pro Smartphones Set to Launch in India on April 15
Acer has officially announced the names of its upcoming smartphones—Super ZX and ZX Pro—set to debut in India on April 15 at 12:00 PM local time. The two smartphones are part of Acer’s latest push into the mobile device segment in India and will focus on budget 5G performance and AI-enhanced camera technology.
Camera-Focused Budget Phones with AI Capabilities
One of the two handsets will feature a 64MP Sony sensor, accompanied by an ultrawide camera and a macro lens, aiming to deliver impressive low-light performance and versatile photography. Acer highlights the use of AI-powered features to enhance image quality and user experience—particularly for night shots and computational photography.
Made in India: Designed by Indikal Technologies
Acer clarified that the phones are designed, manufactured, and distributed by Indikal Technologies, an Indian company that also produces Acer-branded televisions in the country. While the devices carry the Acer branding, they are locally developed, with limited input from Acer’s Taiwanese parent company.
This makes the launch more of a strategic branding partnership aimed at capitalizing on Acer’s global reputation while aligning with India’s Make in India initiative.

What to Expect on April 15
While full specifications are still under wraps, early details suggest the Super ZX and ZX Pro will be:
- 📱 Affordable 5G smartphones
- 🤖 Equipped with AI-powered camera features
- 🌙 Optimized for low-light photography
- 🇮🇳 Made in India by Indikal Technologies
With the official unveiling just around the corner, Indian consumers will soon see whether Acer’s mobile comeback has what it takes to compete in the highly competitive budget smartphone market.
