History and Establishment
Established in 1997 under Amiri Decree No. 9, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank began commercial operations in 1998, with formal inauguration in 1999 by Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Information and Culture. ADIB’s operations are fully aligned with Islamic Shari’a principles.

Founders
