Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan has recently made headlines with a sharp critique of men, just days after a public disagreement with her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya. In a candid Instagram post on Friday, Zari accused men of secretly building families without their partners’ knowledge.
According to Zari, while men are stepping out of their relationships, women are focused on personal and financial growth. “Women are secretly investing while men are secretly building families,” she stated. She added that this behavior creates an imbalance between the genders. “Take a seat, we are not on the same level,” she declared.
The timing of Zari’s post raises questions about whether it is directly related to her recent marital issues. Her marriage has been under scrutiny recently, particularly following a visit by singer Diamond Platnumz, which seemed to stir trouble. About two weeks ago, Zari criticized Shakib on social media and even threatened to leave him after Shakib expressed doubts about her relationship with Diamond Platnumz.
In a live social media session, Zari addressed her husband’s insecurity regarding her relationship with Diamond, clarifying that there was no romantic involvement between them. “Let me tell you something, if I wanted to go back to Diamond, I could. If Diamond wanted to get back with me, he could. But we are done. We are completely done. I don’t want him, he doesn’t want me,” she explained.
Zari emphasized that despite her qualities and options, she chose Shakib as her partner. “But I chose my husband, and I don’t care how you see him. Oh, he’s broke, he’s not good enough, I don’t care. I chose him. I chose to be with him as my husband, and then he puts me through this!!” she said.
She concluded by urging her husband to overcome his insecurities if their marriage is to succeed. Zari’s comments reflect a broader frustration with gender dynamics and personal relationships, spotlighting the complexities of navigating public and private lives.
