The quiet little Darbar Sahib not many know about at Gurdwara Sahib Landhies (est 1903) – the oldest in Nairobi and the second oldest in Africa – which sits discreetly next to the langar hall and is the exact spot where, over the decades, many saintly souls have visited and even done Bhagti (devotion to Gurbani recitation and contemplation) there. It still has that old world feel – with an amazing sense of calm and peace within it. One can even hear the old train making its way across its historic tracks, just a few steps away from the Gurdwara Sahib.
