The CIB segment serves the Company’s global clients, and includes products groups, such as Transaction Banking, which provides working capital and liquidity management solutions through its Straight2Bank electronic platform; Financial Markets, which offers a suite of foreign exchange, fixed income, commodities and debt capital markets solutions, and Corporate Finance, which provides corporate finance solutions. The Commercial Banking includes products, such as Cash Management, Long and short-term lending, Trade Finance and Electronic/Mobile Banking. The Retail Banking segment includes Digital Banking and Bancassurance. It focuses on Wealth Management, Priority, Personal and Business Banking under Retail Banking segment. The Company operates approximately 40 branches and over 100 automated teller machines.
The Company’s offerings include deposit products such as current accounts, savings accounts, fixed deposits, loans & mortgages and home loans. The Company operates its business across three business segments: Corporate & Institutional Clients, Commercial Clients and Retail Clients. Corporate & Institutional Clients serves Financial Institutions, Global and Local Corporate clients. Commercial Clients caters to medium-sized enterprises and high value small businesses. The Retail clients segment focuses on three client groups: Business Clients, Priority Clients and Personal Clients. The Company offers a variety of local and foreign currency accounts. The Company maintains a portfolio of short-term liquid assets, principally Government securities. The Company operates 37 branches, 95 automated teller machines (ATMs).

Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited hosts the regional Shared Service Centre supporting the Bank’s technology operations in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Botswana and South Africa on a real time basis. The latest company strategy focuses on prioritising returns and allocation of capital and investment in areas the company has long term competitive advantage. The aim of this strategy is to build a sustained momentum that factors in dynamism in the banking sector. The company strategic reveiws include aligning it’s business strategy with tightened risk tolerance to create a more diverse and resilient balance sheet, delivering cost efficiencies through investment in technology and funding incremental investments, improving customer expereience among others.
