Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 has officially passed through the FCC, confirming a key detail ahead of its expected July Unpacked debut: the flagship foldable will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset globally, including in the international SM-F966B variant.
This aligns with earlier leaks and suggests uniform global performance, unlike the Galaxy Z Flip7, which is still rumored to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2500 in select regions.
FCC filings also confirm the Fold7 will support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, UWB, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Leaks indicate it will feature an 8.2-inch foldable AMOLED display and a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover screen, both at 120 Hz. Camera specs include a 200 MP main sensor, 12 MP ultrawide, 10 MP telephoto, 4 MP under-display, and a 10 MP front selfie camera. Power will come from a 4,400 mAh battery, and it will ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.
