Request Funding for Kanaa’d Ships in Qatar. Owners of Kanaa’d ships may submit a request to the Fisheries Department at the Ministry of Municipality to receive compensation for the period when the fishing of Kanaa’d is banned, namely from August 15 to October 15 every year.

- Download and fill out the paper form, then submit it to the Office of the Fish Resources Department.
- Attach the following documents:
- Copy of QID of ship owner
- Valid Small Craft Registration Certificate (issued by the Ministry of Transport)
- Copy of valid fishing license
- Bank letter, clarifying the IBAN no.

Additional Information
- The fishing tools allowed in the permit shall be the fishing nets only.
- The used tools “fishing nets” shall be registered in the permit for no less than 10 months a year.
- The ship shall be valid for sailing and fishing for a minimum of 10 months, starting October 15 every year, excluding the period of regular maintenance and repairs that should not exceed three months.
- Funding requests are collected and a list of eligible ships is issued at the end of the period specified for submitting applications.
- This service requires 30-60 days to be completed.
