Request Broadcasting License of a TV Channel in Qatar. This service allows Qatari individuals and companies to submit a request to obtain a TV channel license, via the E-Services portal of the Ministry of Culture (MOC).
License duration: 3 years
Online Instructions
- Click on “Broadcasting Services” under E-Services portal available on MOC website.
- Click on “License Request to Operate TV Channel” from the list of services.
- Login by using your personal account on the National Authentication System (NAS, Tawtheeq).
- Attach the following documents:
- A letter in the name of department director
- A study of the channel
- A copy of the ID card of at least one partner (in case there are partners)
- A copy of the ID of the license holder and channel manager (optional)
- A copy of the commercial register (optional)
- A copy of the membership of Qatar Chamber (optional)
- A certificate of proof of authorization to sign, in case of entering as a representative or authorized to sign (optional)
- Other attachments if there are additional attachments
- Acknowledgment and undertaking (in the case there is an initial approval of the application
- A copy of the initial approval with the approval of other authorities (in case there is an initial approval of the application)
- Submit the application.

- License Issuance: QR1,000,000
- License Renewal: QR150,000
- Edit License Data: No fees needed
- Cancel License: No fees needed
Additional Information
- Among the terms for applying for this service are as follows:
- Submission is available for individuals provided that they must be Qataris.
- Submission is available for companies or through an authorized signatory.
- A channel manager must be a Qatari citizen.
- This service is available on the Ministry’s mobile app.
