Qatar: Request Refund for Exempted Excisable goods

Qatar: Request Refund for Exempted Excisable goods. This service allows the taxpayer who is registered for excise tax, who imported or produced any exempted excise goods in accordance with the law, to submit a request to refund the excise tax on the exempted goods.

Instructions

• Login to the Dhareeba Tax Portal using the National Authentication System “Tawtheeq”.
• Click on the “Payments/Refunds” tab from the “Refunds” panel and choose “Create” to create a new request, or “View” to view previous requests.
• Select the tax type and refund type from the list, then click “Continue”.
• Read all instructions, then click on the “Start Now” button.
• Enter all the required details, then click on “Save”.
• Select “Yes” if you agree to keep the refund amount with the General Tax Authority and click on “Continue”.
• In case of choosing “No”, enter the IBAN number and the name of the beneficiary in both Arabic and English, and click on the “Verify” option.
• Confirm the accuracy of the information by ticking the two checkboxes to indicate your agreement to the terms and conditions (after reading them) and acknowledge the information validity.
• Submit your request.

Fees

No fees are required for this service. 

Additional Information

• The taxpayer will receive an SMS, email message, and a PDF file upon request submission, approval, or rejection, and in the event of receiving or submitting additional information.
