Qatar: Request for Taxpayer Representative Engagement. This service allows Taxpayers to appoint representatives to act on their behalf as intermediaries with General Tax Authority (GTA) to provide tax related services, and it allows the representatives to end the authorization that was given to them.
Instructions
Taxpayers should follow the following steps:
In case taxpayer is not registered in GTA:
- Login to the Dhareeba Tax Portal using the National Authentication System “Tawtheeq”.
- Choose “Self Registration” and then “Registration through Taxpayer Representative”.
- Read the instructions page on assignment of taxpayer representative.
- Fill the information in the form that appears to you and submit.
- After receiving the registration notification from GTA, login to the portal and go to “My Notifications”, then go to “My Certificate”.
- Download the Tax Card file.
In case taxpayer is registered and has 10 Digit TIN starting from 5 Series:
- Login to the Dhareeba Tax Portal using the National Authentication System “Tawtheeq”.
- Choose “Assignment” from “Manage Taxpayer Representative” tile.
- Read the instructions page on assignment of taxpayer representative.
- Fill the information in the form that appears to you and submit.
In case taxpayer wants to disengage their representative
- Choose “Disengagement” from “Manage Taxpayer Representative” tile.
- Click on the reference number or pencil button for the taxpayer representative with whom the relationship needs to be disengaged.
- Select the services that need to be detached, then click on “Ok”.
Tax representative should follow the following steps:
In case tax representative intends to end their assignment with the taxpayer
- To view notifications, click on “My Notifications” tile.
- To end the engagement with the taxpayer, click on “Terminate Services” from the “Manage Taxpayers” tile, and then click on the reference number or on the pen button to select the taxpayer and disengage.
Additional Information
- When submitting the application, the tax representative receives an assignment notification through email, SMS and a PDF file, and the system shows the reference number of the application.
- The taxpayer receives SMS, PDF, and email notifications when the taxpayer representative accepts the request to act as the taxpayers’ representative.
- The taxpayer representative may accept or reject the taxpayers’ request to appoint a taxpayer representative.
- The taxpayer receives notification emails and SMS from GTA upon submission and approval of the tax registration application.
- Taxpayer will receive a tax card once the registration application has been processed, and they should log in to their respective dashboards to access the PDF.
