Uganda Celebrates the Inauguration of Revamped Nakivubo Stadium
In a grand display of national enthusiasm and pride, President Yoweri Museveni led the inaugural ceremony of the refurbished Hamz Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala, Uganda. “Hamz Nakivubo Stadium stands as a symbol of the vigor and capability of Ugandan businesses. Hamis Kiggundu’s determination in bringing this project to fruition is noteworthy,” declared President Museveni. He further assured continued support for Kiggundu’s future endeavors, especially the Ham Agro Processing Industries which aim to strengthen Uganda’s agricultural framework.
Hamis Kiggundu, through his enterprise, played a pivotal role in the stadium’s transformation from a state of neglect to a premier sports complex. The stadium now features enhanced facilities, including ample seating for thousands of fans, advanced athletic infrastructure, and a commercial hub intended to finance further sports and community initiatives.

“This venue transcends its role as a sports facility; it’s a center for community and youth empowerment,” Kiggundu stated at the event. “Our goal is to foster talent and create opportunities that reach beyond sports.”
