Mwas Gallery, aka Nelson Mwangi, is a renowned event and urban photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. With a passion for capturing life’s moments, he has been honing his skills since 2015 and has established a reputation for his candid shots of events and people.
Mwas is self-taught and has covered numerous high-profile concerts and events, including Etana returns and Buju Banton – Legend Edition, through his partnership with Supremacy Sounds. His work has been featured in magazines, newspapers, and used in social media marketing campaigns.
Not only is Mwas talented behind the camera, but he has also mastered the art of digital image editing and knows how to capture the perfect shot with perfect lighting. He has aspirations to continue learning and growing in his craft, as well as mentoring others in the field of photography.
Mwas lists renowned nature and architectural photographer Mutua Matheka as his mentor, and in his free time, he enjoys playing basketball. In the future, he aspires to expand his skills to videography and show production.
