Kenya has a constituency called Mavoko Constituency. List of Elected MCAs in Mavoko Constituency 2022. It is one of Machakos County’s eight constituencies. until 2013 a part of the Kathiani constituency. With six cement firms (Savannah Cement, Portland Cement, Bamburi Cement, Mombasa Cement, Simba Cement, and Athi River Mining) and the whole EPZ with over thirty businesses, Mavoko is the most industrialized constituency in Kenya. In addition, scores of companies producing building supplies like roofing tiles and floor tiles call Devki Steel Mills and other steel-related sectors home.
Mavoko is home to more than 20 fast-moving consumer goods sectors, including Wrigleys. Mavoko is also home to the Kenya Meat Commission, the Meat Training Institute, Daystar University, the National Call Center for Safaricom Inc., and the newspaper printing facility for Nation Media Group. Parts of Utawala, Athi River, Mlolongo, Kamulu, Joska, Malaa, and Kyumbi (Machakos Junction) are among the towns in the constituency.
