Tamarind Mombasa. In the early 70s there were no quality restaurants in Mombasa, Kenyan born Chris Seex who was managing a resort Hotel at the time had a dream to create Africa’s finest seafood restaurant. He designed the Mombasa Tamarind. With high arches and a crenellated roof, the elegant white building is a throwback to a bygone Arab era with the perfect setting.
Tamarind Mombasa can cater for large groups, corporate dinners and cocktail parties. We will tailor a menu to suit your tastes. Attached to the restaurant is the private dining room which can seat up to 25 guests for meetings, dinner and company celebrations. The lawn outside overlooking the old town is ideal for cocktail receptions.
