Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to strengthening relations with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) during a one-day visit to Kinshasa. After meeting with President Felix Tshisekedi, Mudavadi emphasized that both nations share values of common destiny and mutual prosperity. He stressed Kenya’s dedication to enhancing partnerships in trade, business, security, and people-to-people connections.
Mudavadi conveyed a message from President William Ruto, highlighting the importance of close collaboration within the East African Community. He assured the DRC of Kenya’s respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized the need for mutual cooperation to foster peace and economic growth throughout Africa.
He acknowledged President Tshisekedi’s intervention in resolving the Kenya Airways issue and underscored that the incident had been resolved amicably. Mudavadi, accompanied by officials such as Transport PS Mohammed Daghar and Kenya Airways Managing Director Allan Kilavuka, expressed gratitude and emphasized that stronger future partnerships would continue to benefit both nations.
