How to Request to Renew a Work Permit (For those Sponsored by their Families, GCC Citizens, Permanent Residents, Investors, Others) in Qatar. The service enables the renewal of the work permit issued to the residents of Qatar who are under the sponsorship of their families and employers, while ensuring the eligibility of the establishment to obtain the approval, so that the permit is renewed for the required period after payment of fees (for non-Gulf nationals).
Online Instructions
- Visit the service information page on the website of the Ministry of Labour
- Click on “Apply”, then select “Establishments Portal”, available as one of the options on the login page.
- Login to the National Authentication System (NAS) using your smart card.
- Fill in the required information according to the procedures specified in the online application form.
- Agree to the service conditions.
- Submit your request.
Fees
The fee for this service is QR500.
Additional Information
- The Establishment ID (EID) must be valid.
- There should be no ban on the EID.
- There should be a special work permit for the worker affiliated to the applying establishment.
- The allowed duration in which the permit renewal’s request can be submitted is a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 3 months before the permit gets expired.
