How to add to an existing album on Facebook. Facebook allows users to upload photos, and to add them to albums. In December 2010, the company enabled facial recognition technology, helping users identify people to tag in uploaded photos. In May 2011, Facebook launched a feature to tag specific Facebook pages in photos, including brands, products, and companies. On mobile, Facebook introduced photo filters in August 2011.
In May 2016, Facebook started allowing users to upload and view 360-degree photos. Mobile users will move their device around to navigate the environment, while website users will have to click and drag.

How to add to an existing album on Facebook
You can only add to albums you’ve created or a shared album that you’re a contributor to. Live videos can’t be added to an album.
To add photos or videos to an existing album:
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
- Click Photos.
- Click Albums and select the album you’d like to add to.
- Click + Add to album, then click Upload Photos or Videos.
- Choose photos or videos to add, then click Open.
- Click Post.
Your album’s privacy settings determine who can see your post. You can’t change a post’s privacy without changing the privacy of the album. You can add photos to an album after you’ve posted them.
Note: You can upload up to 1,000 photos to an album.
