This article Focuses on a List of Elected MCAs in Garissa County 2022-2027. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) registered 201,473 voters in the thirty wards and 40 voters in prison in Garissa county, for the August 9 2022 general election. The voters registered in prisons could only vote in the presidential election.

Adan Nathif Jama (Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)) was elected governor of Garissa  county in the August 9, 2022 election. Abdi Muhumed Dagane (ODM) was elected deputy governor. 

Jama defeated four other candidates, receiving 69,342 (63%) of the valid votes cast. His closest challengers were Ali Bunow Korane (Jubilee Party (JP)), with 26,148 (24%) votes and Dekow Mohamed Barrow (United Democratic Alliance (UDA)) with 13,602 (12%) votes. 55% turnout for the gubernatorial election in Garissa, as per provisional IEBC results.
