The Elecrow Mini PC case has been launched as a stylish and affordable enclosure for the Raspberry Pi 5 and NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, combining functionality with a gamer-inspired look. With RGB lighting, an OLED display, and expansion options, this case offers both aesthetics and practicality for small-form computing enthusiasts.
Priced at $32 for the Orin Nano version and $40 for the Raspberry Pi 5 version, the Elecrow case is cheaper than competitors like the Sunfounder Pironman 5, which retails between $46 and $95. This makes it an appealing choice for hobbyists who want more than a plain plastic shell for their boards.
The chassis measures 120 x 120 x 72 mm (4.7″ x 4.7″ x 2.8″) and features an aluminum alloy frame with clear acrylic panels on the front and left side. This setup not only shows off the components inside but also highlights the RGB lighting effects from the system’s three fans—two on the back and one on top. An integrated 1.3-inch OLED display sits on top of the case, providing system status details alongside a power button.
Expansion and Connectivity
Elecrow includes extender boards to ensure easy access to all essential ports. The case exposes USB, Ethernet, and video outputs at the back, while a 40-pin GPIO interface is accessible through the acrylic side panel. Depending on which board is installed, layouts vary slightly between the Raspberry Pi and Jetson Orin models.
The Raspberry Pi 5 version justifies its slightly higher price by offering extra functionality. It includes an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 2.0/3.0 x1 SSDs or add-ons, along with support for an RTC battery, giving Pi users more options for storage and system timekeeping.
Affordable Aesthetic Upgrade
For makers and developers who enjoy blending utility with design, the Elecrow Mini PC case adds a professional finish at a budget price point. With its RGB fans, OLED status display, aluminum build, and expansion support, it transforms compact boards like the Raspberry Pi 5 and Jetson Orin Nano into mini gaming-style PCs.
