David Eseli Simiyu is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to FORD-Kenya and was elected to represent the Kimilili Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election
Education
David Simiyu is a Medical doctor, after attended and qualified in 1984 from University of Nairobi. He worked in military rising to rank of Major and in 1994, left the military and joined University of Nairobi as a lecturer in the department of paediatrics and child health. David Simiyu specialised in paediatrics and child health and later subspecialised in new born medicine (Neonatology).

David Simiyu was a senior lecturer till June 2007 and later joined the politics. In December 2007, he won the parliamentary election and now the Member of Parliament for Kimilili constituency. This is a rural constituency in the western region of Kenya with a population of over 350,000 residents and 98,460 registered voters. David Simiyu stays in Nairobi, Mt. View, which is just 2 km away from “Patch” and he passes by the school every day.
