Journalist Carlos Mureithi is employed by The Associated Press (AP) as their Africa Climate & Environment Correspondent.Mureithi, a Nairobi-based journalist with extensive expertise, has collaborated with mainstream media outlets both domestically and globally over his career.Mureithi was The Christian Science Monitor’s Africa correspondent before joining AP.Carlos worked for the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project as the East Africa Editor before joining the Monitor. Prior to that, he worked as the East Africa correspondent for Quartz, having previously contributed to The New York Times.

He has held a number of positions with the Nation Media Group for about nine years.
Additionally, Reuters, Africa Check the Human Rights Center, and UC Berkeley School of Law have published his work.
Carlos graduated from United States International University (USIU) in Kenya with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Additionally, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a master’s degree in journalism.
