Carbacid Investments Ltd is a Kenya-based investment and holding company with three subsidiaries. The principal activities of the main subsidiary, Carbacid (CO2 ) Limited, are mining and marketing of carbon dioxide gas while Goodison Twenty Nine Limited and Goodison Forty Seven Limited are investment companies. The principal activities of the Company are mining and sale of carbon dioxide gas and investments. These are organized in the following operating segments: Trading and Investments. Carbacid’s distribution network extends across the whole of East Africa, serving customers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, Southern Sudan and Somaliland.
Carbacid produces natural, certified food grade (99.99% purity) carbon dioxide for the beverage and brewery industries, where it is used to carbonate wat er, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. It supplies compressed carbon dioxide for industrial uses including MIG welding and fire extinguisher applications among other products. The company strategy is keen on enhancing cost reduction and scaling up operating efficiency to improve the operating margins.The company stands out from competitors through the delivery of high quality products free of the alcohol base which is an essential requirement of a large segment of the market.
