International School of Uganda (Formerly Lincoln International School, the premier private school in Uganda, commissioned Triad to design its new campus at Lubowa Hill on the outskirts of Kampala. The new campus, set on a hill site, allows the school to undertake a planned expansion. Its present constricted site in the centre of Kampala was a block to such a plan.
The new campus consists of junior, intermediate and senior schools, with accommodation for 600 pupils. Different age groups are grouped around the central Administration and Library facilities. There are full sporting facilities including a sports field, running track, swimming pool and a large covered sports hall.
The initial contract for Phase 1 of the school was for development of 4,800 square metres at a cost of US $3.2 million. Triad provided master-planning services, project co-ordination and architectural design, working with a full range of other building consultants to provide a total design service for the project.
Triad Architects supervised construction of the school which was undertaken by Seyani Brothers (U) Ltd. The project included extensive civil works. The project was successfully complited
