It’s free, although it’s lacking a couple leagues right now. Apple’s New Sports App Delivers Scores, Stats, and More. If you have an iPhone, you can now get practically all of your sports scores and data with a single tap.
A sports app that keeps you up to speed on scores and stats while also connecting to your preferred services to watch games? Is this even possible? With Apple, it might be.
Apple unveiled the new Apple Sports app on Wednesday. It’s a free software available on the software Store that records and offers sports scores, stats, future games, and other information. There is one caveat: not every sports league is now available in the app.

The Apple Sports App allows you to create your own scoreboard so you can instantly follow your favorite team’s most recent results—real-time scores if a game is in progress. You may also get play-by-play updates, betting odds, box scores, and customize it based on your favorite sports and teams.
Available leagues include:
- MLS
- NBA
- NCAA basketball (men’s and women’s)
- NHL
- Bundesliga
- LaLiga
- Liga MX
- Ligue 1
- Premier League
- Serie A
However, MLB, NFL, NCAAF, NWSL, and WNBA are not presently accessible, although Apple promises that they “will become available on Apple Sports over time…”
“We created Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want—an app that delivers incredibly fast access to scores and stats,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services. “Apple Sports is available for free in the App Store, and makes it easy for users to stay up to date with their favorite teams and leagues.”

To sweeten the deal, you can link the Apple Sports App to your Apple TV and other streaming services, then tap within the app to go right to the live game. The software also integrates with Apple News and My Sports Experience on your iPhone.
The software is now available on the software Store for iOS 17 and later devices. It is accessible in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, as well as English, French, and Spanish. At this moment, no in-app purchases appear to be necessary.
